Faithless churches manufacture schemes to keep people engaged, calling it worship. When the Word no longer holds their attention and the power of God is absent, they turn to event calendars and empty rites. They add ceremonies to feel more spiritual and traditions to look more sacred. But what is the point of piling up garbage before a holy God? Religious clutter does not impress heaven. It only reveals the absence of true faith.
There is no dignity in parading titles, waving candles, or choreographing liturgies. More formality does not mean more holiness. More ceremony does not mean more growth. It is bad form to trade simple faith for scheduled showmanship. True piety is to preach the Word and confirm it with power. Robes and rituals do not command respect. They only parade unbelief in sacred costume.
Walking with God is not tied to the calendar. We do not need to ask what week it is, only what the Word says. Christ is the Sabbath. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. In him, we find rest every day, because his work is finished. Every day is alike to the one who lives by faith.
One hour in the Word and prayer at home is worth more than a thousand faithless church socials, especially when these gatherings function like clubs, not congregations. No one should be guilted into attending. Still less should anyone pretend that religious activity draws him closer to God. If you want to socialize, call it fellowship. If you want to ritualize, call it idolatry. But do not lie and call it worship.
