Healing is the believer’s birthright. It is not a future hope but a present possession. The finished work of Jesus covers our salvation completely, both in this life and for eternity. Therefore, to walk in health by faith is not arrogance, but obedience. We are commanded to act according to the Word, not according to what we see or feel.
Faith does not wait for evidence, because it is the evidence. The pronouncements of men do not determine truth. The symptoms in the body do not determine truth. But the truth is what God has declared, that by the stripes of Jesus, we were healed.
Faith always insists on healing. We have authority over our body in Jesus’ name. We exercise it by speaking and acting in line with the Bible. Our body will conform to his Word. To yield to sickness is to deny our inheritance in Christ. It is only natural to obey the word of God and yield to his healing power.
Jesus called healing the children’s bread. The Gentile woman who sought healing for her daughter found even the crumbs were more than enough. If the leftover blessing can cast out demons and heal bodies, how much more the full portion? The believer lives on bread, not scraps.
Our lives are a testimony of miraculous blessings. We are immune to the patterns of the world. We do not participate in flu seasons and outbreaks. Hereditary diseases do not apply to us. Health from God is not an occasional rescue, but our normal state. When the world sees this, it shows that the gospel is not just in talk but in power.
